Nipro – maximum fire protection.

For fireproofing pipe and cable penetrations through walls and ceilings.

Some thoughts on fire protection of facilities.

Active fire safety devices

Active fire safety devices make it easier to locate a fire outbreak and take firefighting action. These include, for example, systems that automatically activate when a fire is detected, such as detectors or alarms that respond to a rise in temperature or the appearance of smoke and flames. This category includes sprinklers and water curtains, whose trouble-free operation also depends on the quality of fixings, special loops and clamps. In the offer of reputable manufacturers of clamps for sprinkler systems, in addition to the standard ones, we can find clamps with international FM and VdS certificates, which guarantee the highest level of safety in the field of fire protection. Possession of FM and VdS certificates meets the stringent criteria of foreign investors and insurance institutions, which ensures obtaining much better insurance terms for the facility.

Passive fire protections

Equally important are passive fire protections that can slow the spread of fire, giving time to evacuate people and property. It is worth thinking about them already at the design stage, as this allows to achieve the required level of fire resistance of the building, depending on its purpose. In this context, it should be recalled how important a role in the fire safety system falls to fire zones. Separated from each other by fireproof walls, floors and ceilings, they are a barrier to the flames that will stop the fire for the time necessary to organize a firefighting operation. For this to be possible, their boundaries - and these are the walls and ceilings of the building - must meet load-bearing, airtightness and insulation (REI) requirements. This requires the use of dedicated products and materials with the appropriate fire resistance class, which have the necessary certificates and National or European Technical Assessment.

Nipro

Synonymous with quality in the group of passive fire protection products is the Nipro line for various types of installation penetrations. Here you will find means to restore the original fire resistance class of a partition, which is the boundary of fire zones, for example, after making a culvert for installations. The range of these products includes pastes, paints, ties and collars, using the properties of swelling and thermal insulation. Their operating principles and effectiveness are based on proven technology developed by THALE over the years.

Some thoughts on fire protection of facilities.

1. Nipro ECG and ECGCut Collar.

Application:

Collar installed outside the wall or ceiling, used for fireproof sealing of installation passages for plastic and metal pipes with or without fire insulation. The flange is supplied as a finished product.

Designed for fireproofing of penetrations:

  • Combustible pipes without insulation or with FEF or PE insulation
  • Non-combustible pipes with FEF or PE insulation
  • FEF-insulated composite tubes
  • Cables in PVC conduit
  • Heating and plastic pipe bundles

Assembly:

  • Fill the spaces between the pipe and the edge of the hole with mortar gypsum, cement or mineral wool
  • Select ECG or ECGCut Collar to the desired diameter and instal it on the tube
  • Fix the collar to the partition with metal anchors or steel threaded rods washer and nut
  • Installation and application details in ETA-22/0020 or from your Niczuk advisor

Get a Contractor's Licence with our training courses.

The end of the training is the granting of the Contractor's Licence, which is increasingly required by inspectors and fire officers. The licence confirms that the participant has received training in the correct execution of passive fire crossings in accordance with the recommendations of the European Technical Assessment. The validity of such a licence is 2 years and its scope covers the use of Nipro products products offered by Niczuk.
