Market debut of the CERTA system for heavy industry.

In 2023, we launched the long-awaited CERTA product line, channels and accessories for the assembly of large industrial support structures. The new system has been developed primarily for the construction of large-format steel installations, which until recently were built using welded components. The state-of-the-art technical solutions used in the CERTA product group enable much better assembly options than traditional welded structures. Now, connecting the components, using self-threading bolts, is faster and more intuitive, which translates into a significant reduction in the installer's working time and, consequently, lower investment costs.

Today, the focus is on modernity, simplicity of installation while maintaining safety parameters and high product quality. CERTA is the response to the dynamically changing needs of the construction market and the growing need to complement the product range with heavy-duty structures. It is an attractive alternative to welded systems, which present numerous difficulties due mainly to the irreversibility of the welding process and the associated high energy costs.

Among the disadvantages of classical systems currently available on the market, it is also worth mentioning the issue of the geometry of the mounting rails – a C-shaped channel does not cope well enough with heavy loads. The design of such classical channels makes them prone to deflection and lack of stability, especially in the case of large spans. The cross-sections used in CERTA products minimise the structural disadvantages described above and considerably increase the installer's work comfort.

The main advantages of the Certa product line.

High strength and stability – symmetrical shape. The modern CERTA channels have a closed, symmetrical cross-section and are made of S355 structural steel. Their shape guarantees uniform load-bearing capacity, high strength and torsion-resistant structural rigidity. Additional double ribbing on each wall reduces deformation and eccentric torsion, guaranteeing the stability of the supports, even under huge loads.

Multifunctional system for wide structural span. CERTA system gives the possibility to cover large spans (heights): it allows to easily overcome the distance of load-bearing structures at lengths of 6 meters and more. It makes the installation of horizontal and vertical structures simple and efficient.

Quick and easy installation. Thanks to CERTA's modular connection technique and channel perforation system, the assembly of the components is as simple and intuitive as building a structure from building blocks. The single type of self-threading bolt used gives unlimited possibilities for assembling structures. This well-thought-out technical solution saves considerable time and money on building investments.

A desirable alternative to welded systems. CERTA removes the limitations associated with the traditional method of connectiong structural elements, such as the irreversibility of the process and the fire hazard during welding. Assembling a structure using CERTA components is extremely simple now – just a few hours of staff training and a small number of tools are required.

Compatible with the classic Niczuk brand fastening system. The CERTA product line complements the product range of Thale, the Polish leader in fastening systems. CERTA products can be connect with the rest of the product range of the Niczuk fastening system. Multifunctional accessories, e.g. connectors – make it possible to connect CERTA channels with MF channels, which offers a wide range of possibilities for creating support structures that meet the highest safety standards.

High corrosion protection. Thanks to their high-quality anti-corrosion coating (hot-dip galvanised with a coating thickness of ≥ 55 μm), CERTA fastenings are ideal for areas with potentially increased corrosion risks – both indoors (factory and industrial spaces) and outdoors.

The CERTA line is a complete group of products that includes:

Assembly channels with multifunctional use. CERTA channels are available in two sizes: 82×82×3 mm (KE) and 100×100×4 mm (KJ) and a length of 6 metres. Their closed structure makes it possible to create horizontal beams, columns and variety of spatial structures with relatively low dead weight. Repeated perforation allows for the installation of fittings and accessories along the entire length of the channel.

Self-threading bolts. One of the most significant advantages of the CERTA system is the assembly of components using only one type of bolt for connecting. This is an easy-to-use, self-threading bolt with a hexagonal head and TORX socket, which undercuts and bores into the steel surface of the profile during the screwing process, creating a load-bearing connection along its entire length. Common tools used and popular with installers are used to screw it in.

Accessories for creating structures from CERTA channels include:

  • CERTA channels supports to create a variety of gantry-type or spatial structures, fastened directly to the object, including walls, floors, ceilings or other assemblies. The CERTA system includes three types of channels supports: straight, angled and roof support.
  • CERTA internal connectors for butt joints of channels and consoles.
  • CERTA T connectors and angle connectors for perpendicular connection of channels.
  • CERTA beam clamps for making the connection of CERTA channels to each other or their assembly to steel profiles.
  • CERTA SE strut for making lashings between heavy channels, lashings between heavy channels and the structure of the object (wall, steel construction) and between connectors.

The CERTA product line has been developed for areas where safe and sturdy fixing of heavy installations such as pipes or air-conditioning units is required, either outdoors or indoors.

CERTA is suitable for applications where stability of support is important for large structural spans and heights (above 6 metres). It is the ideal solution for substructures for heavy equipment and fixed point supports for high forces and complex geometries. Due to the low weight of the structure itself, roof-mounted installations are an excellent example of the CERTA system's application.

Certification of CERTA products.

Elements of the CERTA system bear the CE marking, which indicates that the products comply with European regulation CPR 305/2011 – the rules for the marketing of construction products.

CERTA also complies with the harmonized standard EN 1090, which specifies detailed requirements, for the construction of steel and aluminum structures. Compliance with this standard allows the sale of products from this line in the European Union and the European Economic Area.
